Independent Verification &
Validation (IV&V)
Many organisations that pay for a development activity require
assistance verifying that the development is going to plan and/or validating
that the product is being developed to satisfy the needs of the end user.
We can assist organisations in assessing that they are getting
what they paid for during any stage of the development life-cycle. The IV&V
activities that SPK can assist in are outlined below.
Data Inspection
- Analysis of raw data output, and/or traceability & flow-down
analysis of data report summaries.
- Requirements traceability & flow-down analysis.
Development Test & Evaluation
- Ensure that units, components, or configuration items meet their
design objectives, to mitigate risk down-stream.
- Estimate functional performance.
- Assess compatibility with other systems.
Operational Test & Evaluation
- Assist the end user to assess that the final system meets their
objective.
- Determine the operational impact (if any) of the installed
system.
